The Story of WinterBird

Hello I am Nancy Hall, I opened WinterBird Interiors in 2003 as a 2500 sf retail store. We offered high end home furnishings and full-service design…a one-stop-shop for the home. Our business was among the first to “pioneer” a neglected historic district in the Kansas City area. WinterBird set the pace for historic home tours, a downtown development and revitalization effort and designer show house projects, while servicing the local clients with their design-build, furnishings and fabrication needs.

Upon relocating to RVA in 2007, and after several years, serving as a former Design Consultant at Williams and Sherrill, I re-launched the company to specialize in design services, without the retail operation. Since that time, WinterBird has designed the interiors of new-builds, designed exterior spaces, selected fits and finishes for entire interiors with clients buying new homes and managed countless renovations of existing homes…“criss-crossing” various regions, throughout the country.
